Philippines
The country offers a variety of beautiful
landscapes. See the rice terraces in North Luzon and walk in the pine forests
around Sagada. Climb a volcano, follow a subterranean course of a river,
see the curious formed "chocolate hills" in Bohol, snorkel, dive or idle
on white beaches under coco palms at the Visayas islands, but better avoid
big cities.
People speak English very well. They are mostly very
helpful, honest and open minded to tourists.
Traveling is very easy and cheap. Accommodation
is everywhere available at low end and luxury. Food, a mixture from Chinese,
Malaya, American and Spanish influence, is mild and tasty. You can eat
without problems at the cook-shops or in restaurants.
